The Centre for Memory and Identity Studies (CSMI) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to research and innovation. Its purpose is to disseminate academic research to as wide a public as possible and establish bridges between the civic and the academic worlds. The Centre aims to encourage and promote memorial and identity studies at the national and international level. It will disseminate the results of investigations through classic and new media, through conferences, colloquia, round tables, civic and cultural meetings. Also, it aims to contribute to a more thorough knowledge of the memorial studies field and of a better understanding of the social, political and gender identities.
